There are a lot of reasons why Atlanta
Olympics proved to be one of the most memorable, not to mention controversial,
events ever in Olympic history. Firstly, a number of people felt that Athens
should have been awarded the right to host the Olympics because it was in their
city that the modern phase of the event was born exactly one hundred years ago.
The privilege nevertheless went to Atlanta in the end, and the city was able to
raise as much as $1.8B from private funding and sales alone for the Olympics. Stand Up on Your Two Hind Feet and Do Something About Our Economy Our country is in a mess Al Harris Jersey. I doubt that I
would get many arguments about this statement. It doesn't seem to matter what
side of the political isle we are on. The unemployment rate is alarming.
American factories have closed and more are sure to fail in the near future
unless we do something to change it.
The one thing that we all should agree is
that something needs to be done. Since the vast majority of us are not
politicians, nor are we closely connected to Washington. It seems that we can't
make a difference. Our voice just isn't being heard by those who are supposed
to be representing us. So often, while having a discussion at the proverbial
office water cooler or with friends out on the patio around the fire pit, one
statement rings load and clear; we've got to stand up and do something!
Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a position of wanting to do something, but
not knowing what to do or where to start.
So where do we start? Some people join the
military to help. Men and women are enlisting in the army, navy, air force,
marines, coast guard and special services to do their part in protecting and
serving our country. Other people are trying to help by getting involved in politics
and by running for local and state offices to make their voices heard and help
make major economic decisions. If joining the military or running for office is
not an option that you can realistically do to help our country, there is
something that every single American can do to help protect and serve our
country that is not necessarily easy Packers pro shop, but certainly do-able. There is something
that each person can do that will make a positive impact on a grand scale. What
is this "something?" What is this secret? What can you do to help?
You can buy American and you can start doing that today.
